Economic activities at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange have come to a halt with no movement from either vehicles or people aft a peaceful demonstration turned chaotic.
the tension, according to reports, started when the protesters pelted stones at their officers and burned tires over disagreement on the route used for the demonstration.
Reports circulating had indicated that the police fired tear gas at the demonstrators to disperse the rioting crowd.
Three protesters of the ongoing demonstration by the pressure group, Arise Ghana have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
The three were allegedly picked up for their involvement in the tension that has characterized the demonstration.
The Arise Ghana demonstration was set to have taken place today and tomorrow by some concerned youths to register their displeasure with the government.
